Smith Lumber

Generations of sustainably harvesting

Smith Lumber is nestled at the base of Juniata County’s scenic Shade Mountain.  Running a vintage Frick 01 sawmill, locally-sourced timber provides fine lumber, turning stock, carving blanks, natural edged slabs and more.  Dan Smith is assisted by his son, Nirloy, and parents, Roy and Nancy, although they are mostly retired at this point.

About Us

Our very small team

We are small enough to manage each customer's needs individually. Roy and Nancy Smith cut and process each piece of lumber.
