Smith Lumber

Generations of sustainably harvesting

Smith Lumber is nestled at the base of Juniata County’s scenic Shade Mountain.  Running a vintage Frick 01 sawmill, locally-sourced timber provides fine lumber, turning stock, carving blanks, natural edged slabs and more.  Roy Smith, along with his wife Nancy, son Dan, and grandson Nirloy, offer unique and hard-to-find pieces.

About Us

Our very small team

We are small enough to manage each customer's needs individually. Roy and Nancy Smith cut and process each piece of lumber. Online or by telephone, you will likely communicate with Nancy. Roy does the felling and milling. When there are big jobs (or the slabs are big!), their son Dan and grandson Nirloy lend a hand.
